Bard Ionson

Bård Ionson is a digital artist who has made art since 2012 and began minting on the blockchain in 2018. He combines artificial intelligence and GAN-based image generation with analog equipment including VCRs, CRTs, oscilloscopes, lasers and scanners. His SAGE Anomaly series joins generative work to a narrative of aliens, radar technology and Alzheimer's disease; a work from the series entered the Museum of Crypto Art's Genesis Collection. Battledore is held in the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford, and a work from Painting with Fire is in the permanent collection of the Francisco Carolinum in Linz. In 2022 he appeared in "24 Seeders", part of the DYOR exhibition at Kunsthalle Zürich. Balloons In The Sky, made with Jennifer Ionson, premiered at HASH Gallery during NFC Summit 2026 in Lisbon, where he also paired with Osinachi for the gallery's first Double Take release.
