Figure31

Figure31 is the name used by Loucas Braconnier, an artist based in Montreal who works in digital photography and blockchain art. Born in the late 1990s, he studied photography, cinema and media, and holds a bachelor's degree in Visual and Media Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal. His works include LINE, a generative collection of photographs auctioned through Fingerprints DAO, and LUX, in which collectors hold a collective rather than singular claim on a family of manipulated photographs of the sun. LUX was shown in Tokyo in 2023 in the group exhibition Proof of X, and the same year he appeared alongside Jeffrey Scudder and Sten in MATERIAL, an exhibition presented by Wild. In 2026 he released Throw of Dice, a blockchain-native work on the Tezos Etherlink network.
