Laurent Castellani

Laurent Castellani is a French photographer from Paris and Île de Ré. He worked as an art director in Paris for more than fifteen years and began making films, among them early work for Bose and Bang & Olufsen, before turning to photography. Netflix contacted him in 2018. He has practiced fashion and beauty photography, and his series Mulholland Drive takes models in urban settings as its subject, drawing on David Lynch. His photo book Rêverie sold internationally, and he has exhibited at Paris Photo Off in Paris. Castellani describes himself as agoraphobic and unable to travel. He shoots using only natural light, working mornings and evenings. From 2022 he entered the NFT space, releasing the We are Dreamers series along with individual pieces on SuperRare and OpenSea.
