Martcellia Liunic

Martcellia Liunic was born in 1989 and is based in Jakarta, where she works as an illustrator and art director and runs her own art label, Liunic on Things. Her work combines playful, abstract shapes with whimsical animals and girl characters in a bold, lively color palette. In 2017 she made Through Thick and Thin, a silkscreen print celebrating different kinds of women's bodies. She was one of the artists behind the Hush Puppies Decades Mural, painted with Muklay, Mr. Wormo, Olderplus and Tutugraff, whose pieces were auctioned for Sumatran elephant conservation through WWF. Her illustrations have appeared in the Society of Illustrators 65 Jury Selections, It's Nice That and Frankie Magazine.
