Niceaunties

Niceaunties is the pseudonym of Wenhui Lim, a Singapore-based artist born in 1981. She worked in architecture for nineteen years before turning to art, and began making work with AI tools at the beginning of 2023. In April 2024 she spoke at TED in Vancouver about that change of direction. Her work centres on the Auntieverse, a speculative world populated by aunties, which she has extended through video series, commissions and installations. In 2024 Christie's Art+Tech Summit commissioned Along the River in Auntieverse, the City of West Hollywood commissioned the billboard work Aunties on Sunset, and her first physical solo exhibition, 'Auntiedote', opened at Expanded.Art in Berlin. Her work has also been shown at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In 2025 she premiered the installation Mirror into Auntieverse at Paris Photo.
