Sean Mundy
Sean Mundy is a Canadian photographer and digital artist based in Montréal, where he builds conceptual imagery from photography and digital manipulation. Born in 1991, he was given a Polaroid digital camera by his parents for a high school trip and began shooting seriously around 2013 and 2014, connecting with other photographers through 52-week photo projects on Flickr and Tumblr. After two years of shooting he mounted his first solo exhibition, Hollow, at Never Apart in Montreal, and in 2016 began working with Montreal's Galerie Youn. He has also worked with Yellow Frame Gallery in Tel Aviv and Mortal Machine Gallery in New Orleans. Introduced to SuperRare by the photographer Nate Hill, Mundy entered the NFT space in early 2021, releasing Barriers IV that January. His work returns to division, isolation, and the tension between the individual and collective systems.
