The Paper Crane

The Paper Crane is a pseudonymous artist who creates generative work on fxhash, often in collaboration with Rich Poole. Works include Acequia, which draws on real Andalusian mountain villages and topped fxhash's weekly sales volume chart when it was released, and Miniscapes, made with Poole. The Shape Shift Series was released on Manifold as an open edition. Skyline Blues was part of #TezQuakeAid, an initiative whose proceeds supported earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey. In October 2023, The Paper Crane and fxhash founder ciphrd were identified as the only two artists among the platform's top ten sellers by sales volume working under an alias.
