Time & Time again mother nature proves that despite all our efforts we can never put together the perfect plan or the perfect shot. During December of 2021 we drove up northern California to enjoy the various parks only to find ourselves caught in what was a massive storm after three years of draught. Our hopes of shooting were diminished to a mere 24 hour window which we were not sure what to expect. we woke the next morning driving further than our home base of Trinidad in hopes of passing the storm, an hour into the drive we began to see snowfall and were amazed by how the whole place transformed into a winter wonderland. I smiled knowing mother nature once again altered our plans but I believe it was for the better & now I have winter shots in California! I love to believe that it is I who is constant search for the sub arctic cold temperatures but in the last few years I found that the snow & fog chases me.
